This course is for administrators and developers who want to use shell scripts to improve the efficiency of their work. Participants learn how to write shell scripts, to understand existing scripts and to apply other Unix tools (e.g., awk and sed). The course discusses korn shell (ksh) and bash both in the Linux as well as in the AIX/Unix environment.
