Experienced HACMP administrators and consultants who want to use the latest technologies together with HACMP to achieve a maximum of availability. This course deals with HACMP in relation to more recent technologies. Besides the virtualization of clusters, the focus is primarily on the technologies associated with POWER6 and AIX6.1 (partition live mobility, hibernation, workload partitions). Many of the new features are plagued by a series of snags and limitations which are neither documented nor visible at first glance. This course presents how to correctly use the new technologies and to cleverly combine options to fully exploit the advantages of HACMP. Participants will be able to use all the hardware currently available on the premises for hands-on experience.
